Field Trips

A field trip is when students and their class visit a place (such as a museum or zoo) to learn about something outside of school. In order for your child to go on a field trip, the school will need your permission. You will need to sign a "permission slip" and sometimes you will need to pay for your child to go on the field trip. Students take a bus on a field trip and will return at the regular time on the same school day. Students are expected to bring a lunch from home in a brown paper bag. You should write your child's name on the outside of the bagged lunch with a marker. Sometimes parents can go on field trips as "chaperones", so if you are interested in going, ask your child's teacher.
